Cup of Kindness: Concord & 9th Guest Design
Hello, welcome to Day 2 of the Concord & 9th November release week. I’m sharing projects made with this brand new collection all week.
Today I have some projects using the super creative Cup of Kindness product bundle.
There is SO much to create with this set! My three projects so far just barely scratch the surface of possibilities with these elements. So many fun patterns and details and parts with these adorable cups. (You’ll see that one of my projects doesn't even use the cups at all.)
Card 1 - Rainbow Cups
This is really simple, and just uses a few dies, but it makes me SO happy. I love die cut layers and bold color and this brings a little of the mid-century modern design aesthetic that I love.
I chose colors in pairs, that had a relatively similar value for most of the main colors to help keep things balanced. The “shaded” effect on the cups is just a partial die cut with the cup die, along the edge of the “darker” colored paper from each pair.

Card 2 - Chai Tag
These stamp and die sets come with so many different details to use. Since the previous card was bold and graphic, I used some of the florals and stamped messages on this one. I folded my Stardust cardstock to include a pocket on the inside that’s perfect to hold a gift card. (I even found one that was cup-shaped, to continue the theme!) This is perfect to give as is, or to tie onto another gift.

*Yes, the picture does show Aqua Sky, but I did actually use Sea Glass and not Aqua Sky on this. I need to redo that swatch - and picture.
Card 3 - Warm Smiles
This one really pops, but doesn’t actually use any of the coffee cups! I immediately noticed the smiles in the die set, and thought a rainbow of those would be fun, but ended up just keeping this one in some warm bright colors.
I used the knit pattern stencil from the Stay Cozy Stencil Pack to dry emboss the Cranberry cardstock, then enhanced that by inking some Cranberry ink through the stencil while it was still taped in place.
I wanted the sentiment stamp to flow with the colors, so I used my cubes and blending brushes to ink and stamp that with a color gradation of Dragonfruit, Poppy, and Sorbet.
