Knitting Together: Concord & 9th Guest Design
Concord & 9th is my favorite company for cardmaking products. (don’t forget their colors - I LOVE those!) I am very excited to have been invited to guest design for them for the November release. This week I’ll be sharing projects made with this brand new collection. This one has a “cozy” theme, and that’s perfect for this time of year as the temperature has started dipping colder.
Today I have a card using the Knitting Together product bundle.
This card is really about colors and layers of die cut cardstock. I love the texture and dimension of cards like this. There is a simplicity with the flat color, but the details from the dies and the layering add so much interest.
I started with a background panel that I used a die on for that subtle circle pattern, which continues the theme of these fun balls of yarn. I added my “hello” and some of the yard bits (from dies in this bundle) to add to the effect that maybe that is a string of yarn also.
I used a matte gold cardstock to cut the knitting needles, and topped the ends with a sequin to add a little shine to balance out the matte cardstock. A few clear Dew Drops also play into that, and continue that circle repetition.
Thanks for taking a look!
I have many more ideas for this bundle, and hope to create and share more soon. Check out Concord & 9th to see this new release - and so much more.
And don’t forget to check back here tomorrow for projects from another part of the release!
