Spooky Swirls

I started with the background so it would have drying time.

I knew I’d be adding more on this one, so the blend didn’t have to be perfectly smooth.

Next I added translucent Distress Grit Paste through a swirly stencil from Hero Arts. Doing that on top of water-soluble inks means the ink is absorbed into the grit paste and it ends up tinted with the color. That created a great textured background.

I added some black Distress Spray Stain after that dried, and stamped, die cut, and assembled my pieces together. The cute little bat is pooped up with foam adhesive and the die cut BOO letters are backed with a layer of black for more dimension on both.

The smaller sentiment is a straight one that I bent and attached to my Misti so I could stamp it curved, to flow with that die cut border piece below it. (Lawn Fawn Puffy Cloud Borders die).
