Jolly Ornaments

Christmas is approaching quickly, and I realized I’ve been hopping from deadline to deadline and have some cards that I haven’t shared yet, so a few of those are coming up, starting with this fun one.

This card uses some product from a recent Concord & 9th release. The Ornaments Stamp and Stitch, and the Ornaments Turnabout.

To keep the function of the card interesting, I created a gatefold with an overlapping panel, a 2 sided ornament on the edge, and some color blocking inside.

A palette of three bright and bold colors adds to the festive and fun feel of this one.

I stamped the background for both the Lemongrass and Tidepool with the Turnabout stamp for a tone on tone background pattern.

The ornaments are all die cut, and since the red one is a focal point, I stamped and layered that one also. I duplicated the face of the ornament on both sides of it, around the Lemongrass flap, so it looks great from both the front of the card and the inside.

On the inside of the card, I thought the color-block effect would keep it interesting and fun, and carry in all three main colors as well. I stamped one of the greetings from the Ornament Turnabout set inside also. Enamel dots on both ornaments add a little more shine and texture for an extra festive touch.

I finished off the ornaments with some color-coordinated enamel dots.

Thank you for visiting! I hope you get some time to create something soon.
