Happy Day Records

My husband’s birthday is today! I’m using a couple of really fun Concord & 9th sets with a record theme from earlier this year that I just recently got. (I’ve wanted them since I saw them, and finally decided to just do it.)

This card uses product from the Concord & 9th Greatest Hits and For the Record bundles. The records are really easy to make, and I love that they include an album sleeve die with it also.

The card background uses the background stamp in the For the Record stamp set. I stamped on the Blueberry cardstock with Powder ink.

I added a few stripes for accent, in darker and lighter blues. The light blue stripe has some lines I scored to continue the record theme (like the grooves in a vinyl).

The single record at the top of the card is has the “You Rock” embossed with Hero Arts Iridescent Copper. I created the graphic album cover with a die from the Eat Cake dies, which is an older set. I cut two of them from Spiced Cider cardstock, and inked one so it would be a little bit darker, then glued them together offset on the front of that album. That record slides in and out of the sleeve, and is the perfect spot for a personal note on the back.

Thank you for visiting! I hope you get some time to create something soon.
