STAMPtember is Here!
Tropical Stromanthe Stencil
I’ll be sharing cards throughout the month made with some of the STAMPtember products, and so will many other talented designers. It is going to be a fun month filled with ideas and inspiration!
This card features the new Stromanthe Stencil Set.
The layers make it easy to create the leaf with different shades - or colors, as I did here.
Techniques:
For a fun tropical feel I used colors beyond the obvious greens. For each of the three stencil layers I used, I blended two ink colors together. That added a lot of variation and interest in the leaves.
layer 1: pink & orange
layer 2: green & blue
layer 3: blue & pink
I kept the greeting in a bold black and white, to contrast with the organic shapes and rainbow of color in the leaves.
Gold splatter on the leaves added a great detail and energy with the sparkle and movement it brings to the card.
Colors:
cardstock: Concord & 9th: Midnight. Hammermill white
ink: Concord & 9th: Dragonfruit, Clementine, Avocado, and Midnight. Versafine Onyx Black
