A Splendid New Release

Simon Says Stamp has a brand new release! Be Bold is available now for shopping, and has a really good mix of product! Lots of spring, some good birthday greetings (which we always can use more of) and some dies for some Tim Holtz stamp sets, new colors, and always more.

This card - and a couple more coming in the next few days - features one of the stamp sets, combined with some other products from a recent release of theirs.

This card focuses on the new Splendid Sentiments stamp set. I thought it was a word that would go well with a little glam, so this one uses some gold and beautiful details.

On a light blue (Powder) card base, I blended some Powder and Lilac inks in the space I planned to place the mandala die cut. (This gives it a little more depth and contrast.) Once that was done, I glued on a beautiful half mandala die cut in Briar Rose cardstock.

I stamped the Splendid word with Versamark ink on vellum, embossed it in gold, and trimmed it down - leaving it long enough to wrap around to the back of the card panel. Once I knew the vertical size of that vellum strip, I was able to determine placement and stamp the other words on the card panel in Mushroom ink, so they line up just above and below that vellum.

A few flowers that were die cut in coordinating colors, inked in the center for a little depth (and to bring out the great detail) were glued on next, and I added gold pearl stickers to the centers.

Thank you for visiting! I hope you get some time to create something soon.
