STAMPtember: card 1

Happy STAMPtember! This month brings a lot of celebration and inspiration from Simon Says Stamp . I have some cards to share over the next few days, and here is the first. This uses the new - and very cute - Trick or Treat stamp set. SO many possibilities with this one... you'll see.

I started with the background, and used blending brushes to apply three ink colors (in different areas) to the Out to Sea background stamp, and stamped it on white cardstock.

I cut a Fig (Concord and 9th) card base, and cut 1/2” off the end of the front panel so it was a little bit shorter than the back. I trimmed a piece of that stamped background to fit and then a Lemongrass piece to finish off that front panel. I stamped the images from the Trick or Treat stamp set on the Lemongrass with Versamark ink, and both of those to the front of the card panel.

I stamped the cat and bat on that background with black ink. I then stamped the greeting on black cardstock and used white embossing powder on it, and die cut that. I added it to the front with foam squares for dimension.

A few Nuvo crystal drops, and some stamping inside (with one star stamped inside but showing on that exposed edge) finished off the card for a fun Halloween greeting that isn’t too spooky.
