Peekaboo Birds

A friend shared her new Tweet Life bundle with me (from Concord and 9th) last weekend and I had fun making cards with the cute birds. This is the first way I wanted to use them - having them pop against (or from behind) a dark background.

I used the new Basket Weave Card Front Die to create a textured panel, then trimmed it and attached it to a solid panel. (I love that textural tone-on-tone effect.)

I stenciled and stamped a lot of birds on a sheet of paper, then picked a few to use for this card. I cut them out with circle dies in three different sizes.

I built frames for each with a couple of layers of circles cut with two taped-together circles, and cut a circle out of the front of the card also, with a frame around it.

The largest bird is flapping its wings on the inside of the card, peeking out through that window to say Hello! A layered die-cut greeting on the front, and stamped sentiment inside finish this one off. Thanks for taking the time to look!
