World’s Greatest - with Flowers

This card features the World’s Greatest stamps and dies from Concord & 9th’s April release. This fun trophy cup comes with messages for all sorts of occasions. This will be great for graduations, birthday, Mother’s/Father’s Day, as well as any sort of congratulations and appreciation.

This is a fairly straightforward use of the products, but I wanted to fill it with flowers, so I mixed in some flowers from the Paper Boquet die set to fill this trophy cup with some beautiful spring blooms.

For the trophy cup itself, I cut it from two adjacent colors of cardstock, and shaded the lighter Honeycomb color with some Stardust ink to give it dimension and blend in with the Stardust cardstock of the base. I also added a die cut heart from gold metallic cardstock to the base for a touch of detail.

I stamped the “World’s Greatest” with embossing ink and used clear embossing powder. That gave it some shine and just the right amount of contrast. I wanted the purple banner and the flowers to stand out more. Splattering the white background with some gold ties it in well to the cup, and I really love how the Sunburst card front die brings focus to the center of the card and adds interest to the background. (I have a feeling I’m going to be using this background die a lot.)

The flowers are all cut from a color palette of purples, and I used foam squares to pop up a few. One of the lilac-style bloom clusters I cut so it would tuck over the edge of the cup. This engagement between the two elements connects them, and you’ll notice that the placement of those blooms also leads your eye right into the words.

I also have a quick process reel of this card, which you can see here.
Thank you for visiting! I hope you get some time to create something soon.
