More Stencil Builder - with Layers
Inspired by this Tag Team Technique video from Gina & Jennifer
One part of the Gina K July release (available here) is a new innovative and creative system that she and Jennifer McGuire came up with: the Stencil Builder. It is similar to Gina’s wreath builder, if you’ve used that, but for stencils.
Gina and Jennifer did a Tag Team Technique video for Gina’s regular live time slot on July 30, and they shared a lot of ways to use it - and do more. I have the products and have already played with them (see that post here) so I thought I’d pull mine out do something more while they did theirs.
Techniques:
I wasn’t sure where I was going with this, but I pulled colors inspired by Gina’s shirt. (Go watch the video. You’ll see…)
This is one of those projects that evolved as it went. I didn’t have a clear vision of what I was going to end up with but just went along with it and kept trying to see what else I wanted to add.
You’ll see in the 4th process image below that I thoughts I’d ink blend in the Blueberry around the edges. So I did. But it wasn’t what I wanted, so I used a circle die and cut it out, and positioned it offset on an A2 card base.
Colors:
cardstock: Concord & 9th Blueberry
ink colors: Concord & 9th Sweet Pea, Creamsicle, Aqua Sky, and Blueberry
Thank you for visiting! I hope you get some time to create something soon. Be sure to take some time to play with these Stencil Builders from Gina K if you have them. They’re a lot of fun.
