A Bonus Release: Products I Already Had!

Concord & 9th had a surprise bonus release this week! It was a group of products they’d created for their classes in Scrapbook & Cards Today’s Crop & Create Cardmaking virtual events in the past few years. Lucky me - I’ve actually done all of those so far, so I had the products and had made cards with them all already!

Please pardon the photo quality. Many of these were taken before I planned on sharing as much, so they were simple documentation. But I hope they give you more inspiration, and that seems a good reason to share now!

Oh Hey Bundle

I really like the style of this one. As a graphic designer, I love letterforms and typography and all of that goodness (as long as it is done well, and this one is). Who needs an image when the letters are this gorgeous? The picture below at left is what I made immediately in the class, and the other is an example of one I did a little more with later on. I combined it with a background stamp from Pinkfresh (inked with Versamark ink and embossed with clear), some great die cut candles from Concord & 9th, and a small greeting from Concord & 9th that I curved to fit within the banner die cut shape. Gorgeous ink colors and cardstock (all Concord & 9th) help make it so fun.

On My Mind Bundle

These succulents are so cute! This one comes in a stencil pack and as dies, so there are so many different ways you can create these fun little plants. The first/left image below is what I created in the class (the top card in that picture was created with die cuts, the other two are stenciled images). The image to the right on the Lilac background is all die cuts that have been ink blended for some shading. The final image for this series, the larger image below, is a row of die cut plants and pots, stamped with some patterns, tucked into a 3D plant shelf that pops out. (I used a cover die on the front of it for an debossed texture.) I used the stencil in the background for an artificial shadow effect. (I didn’t try to match/line them up to be more realistic, it was about the fun and I think that accomplished it.)

Sending Smiles

This was a bonus die set that was a collaboration gift between the two companies. It was (if I remember correctly) a special free bonus that Crop & Create attendees from that spring event could get in their Summer Camp boxes if they signed up for that (and used the offered code). This one was not used for a class at the time.

I’ve used these products on a number of cards, and don’t think I have all of the pictures, but here are a couple. The first/left one shows probably my first use of them, with stenciled clouds and using Concord & 9th patterned papers for most of the rainbow.

The “thanks” card uses rainbows cut from a variety of solid cardstock colors, layered in different sizes and positions on a Mushroom base. All the colors are from Concord & 9th. (If you haven’t tried their cardstock yet, they have a multipack with a sample of each color and it is a wonderful way to start.) The “thanks” die cut on this one is from another item in this release, the Lattice Corner Cut Dies.

I do have more cards made with these and other dies from this release, and I’ll try to add those in soon, but this gives you a sample of some of the great creative possibilities you can get from these “new” products.

Thank you for visiting! I hope you get some time to create something soon.
