Spring Flower Hello

I like to have a direction or challenge when I start a card. Sometimes it is about a new product I want to use, sometimes it is a color combination that drives the design, and sometimes it is about the specific recipient and what I know they like. I knew I wanted a cheerful card this time, but wasn’t sure where to start beyond that…

I realized I hadn’t used much Honey Bee Stamps products recently, so when I needed a card for a friend I checked to see what I had from them that might work. That gave me just the direction I needed.

This card came together pretty easily, once I decided what I was going to use.

I die cut the pieces of each of the two large flowers from a different color of cardstock (Concord & 9th’s Pink Lemonade and Grapefruit (with white for some of the centers), and did some ink blending on those to give them nice color variation.

Next, I die cut the postage stamp background pieces, and did some light stenciling on those and the front of the card panel.

After adhering all of those parts, I stamped, embossed, and die cut the greeting. These greetings are some of my favorites! I used a combination of Connect glue (on the part overlapping the flowers) and foam tape (on the right sides) to attach that to the card so I could tuck them in close with everything else.

Some pearl stickers were the final touch!
Now I just have to actually get this in the mail…

I also have a quick process reel of this card, which you can see here.
Thank you for visiting! I hope you get some time to create something soon.
