Open Lattice
I saw Gina K’s Open Lattice card from last week, and then Cathy Zielske made one in a fun live with some friends, so I decided I’d create a version also. You can find links to those two videos at the bottom of this post.
After that dried, it was all about the arrangement. I decided it needed some additional background, but I wanted it to be solid color rather than as detailed as the butterflies and lattice, so I die cut some stems and leaves out of solid cardstock to add some foundation for the butterflies. (I actually cut apart some pieces of those die cuts to position them better under the butterflies. Even from the back of the lattice, you can’t tell.)
The sentiment I stamped in black, embossed with clear, and die cut. A few blank die cut layers behind it helped it have more stability and dimension.
Thanks for taking a look!
Have you tried this technique?
