Treetops: Concord & 9th Guest Design

I’m sharing projects made with this brand new collection from Concord & 9th. This one has a “cozy” theme, and that’s perfect for this time of year as the temperature has started dipping colder and I’m ready to hibernate.

Today I have cards using the Treetops product bundle.

Some people missed having a Turnabout stamp in the Concord & 9th October release, but there is a fun one this month. Two, actually! This Treetops turnabout is for the foliage on a tree, and gives you options to stamp a tree with leaves only, or with leaves and flowers. As always, they include extra single-image stamps in the set to mix in, or use on their own.

In addition to the Turnabout stamp set, there is a coordinating die set. I loved the tree trunk on its own enough to make a card using just that.

Card 1

I stamped the turnabout on Juniper cardstock, which is a totally different look than stamping it on white. I wanted to add some of the die cut leaves (Parsley and Peacock) for some contrast, shape variation, and a layer of texture. I used some Nutmeg ink to shade the tree trunk that I cut from Nutmeg cardstock.

Do you see the stems for the flowers below? Those are the tips of the branches of the tree die! It worked perfectly.

Card 2

Sometimes dies are amazing on their own. I decided to make that tree die the highlight, and cut it in a selection of fresh wintery colors. A couple of snowy swoops for the ground on a Midnight background with white splatters for some snow, and all it needed was a cute layered Hello to finish it off.
